The Versailles Palace is a royal palace build in Versailles. It was a royal residence for the kings of France: Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI. This palace is one of the most remarkable monuments in France not only by beauty but the historical events that happened here. Versailles becomes the permanent royal residence starting 1682, when the king Louis the XIV moved the royal court from Paris, until 1789 when the royal family was forced to return in Paris. The Palace of Versailles represents a symbol of the absolute monarchy system adopted by Louis the XIV. In 1837 the Palace of Versailles becomes the first historical museum of France.

The Palace of Versailles has over 67.000 square meters in which you can find over 2000 art objects from XVII to XVIII century. In the tour of the Palace you will see the famous Hall of Mirrors where the Treaty of Versailles was signed, The King’s Chamber, The King’s State Apartment, The Queen Apartment, The Council Study or The Bull’s Eye Salon. 

The Park of Versailles has over 2037 acres with over 232 acres of gardens. In the Park of Versailles you can find The Small Trianon a palace which was offered by Louis XVI to his wife Marie-Antoinette, The Large Trianon and The Large and Small Canal.
